About Windsor Engineering Group Limited

Our Origins

Windsor’s qualified and skilled staff include technical services and maintenance teams; engineering, design and manufacturing teams; project managers; and research and development technicians. Our advanced R&D and manufacturing facilities, and our investment in the latest technologies ensure we provide top quality, cost-effective total engineering solutions.

In 2010, IPSCO joined the Windsor Group bringing its own specialised expertise with large industrial scale air movement and air pollution control solutions.

Windsor’s core business is in the design of timber drying kilns, heat exchangers and industrial fans, air pollution control, and air filtration systems. Since 1980, the company has installed numerous projects throughout the world. A good example of this capability is that Windsor has over 500 timber drying kilns successfully operating in many countries; currently drying approximately 80% of all plantation softwood dried in New Zealand and Australia. Windsor is closely aligned with the international softwood industry, providing customers with the benefit of their experience and industry associations in this business.

Windsor is a privately owned company based in New Zealand, with sales offices in the USA and Australia. Founded in 1975 by Bill Studd, Windsor started with a range of fans and dust collectors for the wood working industry. Employing around 70 staff, Windsor is continually developing new technology and export markets around the world.
